Zahme Geparden auf der Otjitotongwe FarmOn a protected area about 24 km from the crossroads known as Kamanjab in Northern Namibia, some 13 wild cheetahs now roam on about 40 hectares. This area, known as the Otjitotongwe Cheetah Farm is the place to go to guarantee an encounter with cheetahs.
 
The lodge owners, Tollie & Roeleen Nel, will tell you their personal story about their life as farmers and their now peaceful coexistence with the cheetahs following struggling times. You may even pet three of the tame cheetahs on their farm. Other attractions that will make Otjitotongwe your home for a few days include unusual rock formations like a fossils algae stromatolites, grown in a warm, shallow sea that once covered northern Namibia some 600-700 million years ago. You may also join a guided game drive or one of the nature walks to enjoy the multitude of bird species.
