Canyon Roadhouse Ai - Ais

The Canyon Roadhouse, about 20 km from the main viewpoint of Fishriver Canyon, offers 8 en-suite rooms, an à la carte restaurant, bar, private camp sites, swimming pool, fuel station and information center. Camelthorn tress provide shade at the campsite and there are areas set aside for outdoor barbecues (brais).
 
Serving a maximum of 18 guests, everything at Canyon Roadhouse is casual and relaxed, perhaps giving you a chance to tell stories and experiences of your trip. Meals at the restaurant are served on a spacious terrace, giving you a chance to taste South African wine or Namibian Beer. The roadhouse also offers guided walking tours, horseback riding and scenic flights over the canyon.
 
A hiking trail through the largest Canyon on the Southern hemisphere will take you from the Northern view point at Hobas Camp to the hot springs of Ai Ais, then to the southernmost point. The area offers a wide range of possibilities, depending on your health and enthusiasm. Explore the Fisriver Canyon by foot or from by horseback. Take two hours or the full day tour. At the bottom of the canyon, you can walk alongside the river. Or take a more scenic option, enjoy the canyon from an eagle’s perspective with a scenic flight.
